I enable presenters to powerfully pitch for work to live audiences, on-line or face to face, individually or as a group.
I am most often engaged prior to an impending ‘must win’ major pitch presentation, as my input offers three clear opportunities:
1. An impartial review of ‘win strategy’ from an experienced senior sales professional.
2. The provision of a tried and tested pitch presentation structure to ensure presenters stay on message and on time.
3. A chance to pull individuals together, from various disciplines and geographies, into a compelling and coherent pitch presentation team.
The work process is broken down into five key components, as follows:
1. ‘Win Themes’: A rigorous focus on responding to the ‘exam question’, a deep dive look at the client’s ‘imperatives’ (why are they really asking?), coupled with development of innovative technical content to showcase our solutions and outsmart the competition.
2. Structure: A tried and tested process that provides a clear ‘route map’ through the presentation for both presenters and the audience, with simple tools and techniques to capture and maintain interest from the opening ‘Powerful Personal Introduction’ to the closing ‘Easy Next Steps’. Includes practice of handling and responding to ‘difficult’ questions that the audience might ask post presentation.
3. Words, Music and Dance: Development of what to say (content), how to say it (tone, pitch, speed, volume), and critically the invisible messages sent to the audience (‘body language’) using instant video feedback to support the learning process.
4. Time Management: Clear timing markers built into the process to ensure the pitch presentation does not run over the time allotted by the audience, potentially leading to premature cut off or marks being lost.
5. Maximum Visual Impact: Elevating the story using high quality, creative digital and printed graphics, movies and models. In some cases, for maximum effect, my ‘Snap-Shot’ video platform can be used to engage the client with short video clips addressing the key elements of the presentation, along with supporting documents and links.
